Act Now: Hope Spreads Faster Than AIDS

With almost 40 million people living with HIV and over 12,000 new infections every day, the magnitude and spread of the AIDS epidemic may seem overwhelming. But, we are now seeing signs of hope.

Created in 2002, the Global Fund has committed over $7 billion to nearly 450 programs in 136 countries. Of this, over $1.9 billion has been committed to AIDS programs in Africa. Global Fund programs have already put over 770,000 people on antiretroviral (ARV) treatment, provided education, care and support to a million orphans, and reached millions more with the knowledge needed to stop the spread of HIV. This is just the beginning.
